Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)

Location: Columbus, GA (31909) | Type: Full-Time | Schedule: Mon–Fri, 8-Hour Shift

The Role

As a Behavior Technician at Easterseals West Georgia, you will work one-on-one with individuals with autism and developmental disabilities. You will work under the guidance of our BCBAs to turn treatment plans into real-world progress.

Key Responsibilities

Direct Therapy & Support

  • Implement ABA Plans: Provide one-on-one behavioral therapy following the specific plans developed by the Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).

  • Skill Building: Assist individuals with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including personal hygiene, mealtime routines, and socialization.

  • Safety & Care: Follow all safety protocols to ensure the well-being of the individuals in your care at all times.

Data & Collaboration

  • Progress Tracking: Collect and analyze data on participant progress and behavior to help refine treatment strategies.

  • Clinical Documentation: Maintain accurate, up-to-date medical records and session notes.

  • Teamwork: Collaborate closely with the BCBA and other team members to ensure the highest quality of service.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in psychology, special education, or a related field (Preferred).

  • Experience: Experience working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities is highly desirable.

  • Skills: Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles is a plus, but we provide comprehensive training!

  • Key Traits: You must be compassionate, patient, and able to adapt to new strategies in a fast-paced behavioral health environment.

  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective team collaboration and documentation.
