Receptionist

Location: Columbus, GA (31909) | Type: Full-Time | Schedule: Mon–Fri, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM

The Role

Are you a professional, organized individual with a passion for helping others? As the Receptionist for Easterseals West Georgia, you are the first point of contact for our families and community. Working under the Support Services/Office Manager, you will ensure that every phone call is answered with a smile and every visitor feels welcomed. This is a vital role that keeps our administrative engine running so we can focus on our mission of serving people with disabilities.

Key Responsibilities

Front Office & Communication

  • First Impressions: Greet and assist all parents, visitors, and callers in a positive, professional, and empathetic manner.

  • Call Management: Answer a multi-line phone system and direct callers to the appropriate staff or department.

  • Participant Support: Notify staff of participant arrivals/departures and assist caregivers with general inquiries.

Data & Financial Administration

  • Records Management: Establish and update participant records in the Pro-Care System, including class assignments and contact data.

  • Fee Collection: Collect program service fees, assist in keeping accounts current, and record payments/donations on the ledger.

  • Filing Excellence: Maintain accurate and orderly files for participant records, attendance, and immunization documents.

Operational Support

  • Form Maintenance: Ensure an adequate supply of employee and participant applications are available and keep all office forms updated and neat.

  • Professional Standards: Exercise high-level professionalism and maintain strict confidentiality regarding all participants and staff.

  • Team Collaboration: Perform additional administrative duties as assigned by the Support Services Manager and CEO.

Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. (Advanced business training is a plus).

  • Experience: Minimum of one year of secretary or receptionist experience.

  • Technical Skills: Proficient computer skills and the ability to operate general office equipment.

  • Soft Skills: Outstanding customer service, strong attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.

Compensation & Benefits

Pay: $12.00-$14.00 per hour
